NORTHERN GANNET BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON BRANT GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE SURF SCOTER BLACK SCOTER WHITE-WINGED SCOTER SANDHILL CRANE BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER AMERICAN AVOCET BAIRD’S SANDPIPER FRANKLIN’S GULL RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD PINE SISKIN Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC) ------------ 10/8: The FRANKLIN’S GULL and AMERICAN AVOCET were still present at Knox-Marsellus and Puddler’s Marsh. The FRANKLIN’S GULL was last seen on 10/11. The AMERICAN AVOCET was still being seen yesterday (10/14). 10/9: BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER was spotted at Knox-Marsellus Marsh. PECTORAL and BAIRD’S SANDPIPERS were seen at the Visitor’s Center. 10/10: A pair of GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were seen at the new shorebird area on the wildlife drive. 10/11: 7 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS were seen at Knox-Marsellus Marsh. Onondaga County ------------ 10/8: The RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD continues to be at the feeders on Pendergast Road In Phoenix. Another positive report was recieved yesterday (10/14). 10/9: A GREEN HERON and a MARSH WREN were among 27 species found on Andrews Road in Dewitt. 10/14: 3 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS were found with Sparrows along the power line cut at Three Rivers WMA north of Baldwinsville. 150 BRANT were seen flying over Fayetteville. Oswego County ------------ 10/8: 2 LINCOLN’S SPARROWS and an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER were at a home in Hastings 10/9: 20 PINE SISKINS and 2 LINCOLN’S SPARROWS were seen in Constantia. 10/10: A FOX SPARROW and a LINCOLN’S SPARROW were seen in Mexico. 10/12: Over 4,000 BRANT and all 3 SCOTERS were seen with other waterfown at Derby Hill. Herkimer County ------------ 10/11: PINE SISKINS visited a feeder in Ceder Lake. 10/14: 70 PINE SISKINS were seen at a residence in Dolgeville. Jefferson County ------------ 10/13: An extremely rare adult NORTHERN GANNET was seen at Gravely Bay st Stony Point State Park on Lake Ontario. Unfortunately it was not relocated. Extralimital ------------ 10/14: CAVE SWALLOWS were seen along Salmon Creek near Manitou Road on the west side of Rochester in the Greece area.
