Larue St. Clair mentioned that he felt the trumpeters they were a pair.

I might mention that the first time he, & we met, was down towards Long Point 
the winter after his wife died in Oct. 1993 when he pointed out a swan to us. 
He was "just out looking at birds to give 'him' peace of mind." Such a 
wonderful man! We love him.
