Sorry to hear that you came so close to passing it. It would have been a
good idea using the asii notation e.g.

*Hold down ALT key and type 124 at the same time gives you |*
*Hold down ATL key and type 92 at the same time gives you \*

I wish you lots of luck on your second attempt. From the looks of things you
should pass it without any problem.
