It is a good idea to write down as much as you can after the exam, especially for areas that you are not 100% sure on. And, even there, it may be a good idea to do it! Keep in mind that those notes are for your eyes only - no sharing of that information in any way.
Also, the grades for each section are usually not enough to really tell you what to focus on. At least, I didn't find that to be true.
