Just to clear my question, I just got a call from one of my friend about the
different way how the WisM and Aruba wireless handles data packets and how it
is being distributed. I just want to ask if this is true.
Manolo, I think you want to read up on Flexconnect (formerly H-REAP).
With "local mode" APs, all user data is tunneled in CAPWAP from the AP
to the Wireless LAN Controller to which the AP is joined.
With APs in FlexConnect mode, however, the user data may be either
tunneled from the AP to the WLC ("centrally switched"), or switched
by the AP directly out its LAN interface ("locally switched"), on
a WLAN-by-WLAN basis.
