Hello group,

This is OT but since there are many Wireless experts here, maybe someone can
help me.

I’m looking for a WiFi and 3G router with Walled Garden/Captive
Portal/Welcome URL feature.

The idea is very simple, the clients connect to the WiFi Router and when
they open the browser, they are re-directed to a Welcome page, a pre-defined
page on the Internet. I don’t need the advanced features like
authentication, accepting Terms and Services and things like that.

It seems very simple but I can’t find any router to do this. The best I was
able to find was the dd-wrt software that has a feature called nocatsplash.
The problem here is that the 3G/WiFi routers supported are essentially a few
TP-Link models but all only have 4 Mb of flash. Then the nocatsplash
requires the configuration of a Landing Page. This Landing Page can be
hosted on the router itself using the local file system (JFFS) but this is
only possible if the router has more than 4 Mb of flash or if it supports an
external storage device.

If someone knows a router to do this of some firmware other that dd-wrt that
could be run on the TP-Link TL-MR3xxx routers, please let me know !

Thanks.

Regards,
