A post-doctoral position in protein crystallography is opened at CNIO, the Spanish National Cancer Center in Madrid (www.cnio.es). The Structural Biology and Biocomputing Program is seeking a highly motivated scientist to work on a project looking at protein complexes in yeast. The position is funded by the European Commission’s sixth Framework Programme in the context of 3D repertoire, a multidisciplinary consortium, aimed to understand how cells work at the molecular level (www.3drepertoire.org).   The successful candidate should have a strong background in protein cloning, _expression_ and purification. Experience in protein crystallography is strongly recommended. Applicants at the early stage of their postdoctoral career must include a detailed CV, synopsis of research experience, a short statement of research interests and two letters of reference, to the address given below.   The position is limited to three years with a possible extension of another year. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The department is equipped with state of the art biochemical and biophysical tools, including e.g. crystallization robot, ITC, DLS, analytical ultracentrifugation, in-house data collection facility etc. We have regular access to Synchrotron radiation source as part of a Block Allocation Group at the ESRF.
