Hi Ryan, You can try the mespeus database that describes ion coordination. You can explicitly search for an iron ion coordinated by cysteine side chains.

I am looking to conduct a PDB search to see how many proteins contain the simple 1 Fe 4 Cys so called rubredoxin like site. Is there a tool that is able to do this that would be based more on structure instead of sequence? Thank you in advance for any and all of your replies! Regards, Ryan Gumpper
