Hello CryoEM Researchers, Pacific Northwest CryoEM Center wants to remind the cryoEM community that we are now offering a new proposal type called 'Screening Access' for users with limited or no cryoEM sample preparation access. We hope this new mechanism will enable investigators lacking access to local cryoEM resources and help foster new investigators interested in entering the field of cryoEM. Please share this information with your colleagues that could benefit from this type of access. Firstly, PNCC is offering a new proposal type called 'Screening Access' for users with limited or no cryoEM sample preparation access. For more information, go here<https://pncc.labworks.org/access>. The first application deadline for this new proposal type is February 1st at 11:59pm (Pacific). Secondly, in agreement with the CryoEM National Centers we have revised our General Access application to offer common criteria to users for the research proposals. PNCC has changed this for the February 1st submission deadline. Thirdly, we have revised our PNCC Scheduling Policies to correspond with the application changes that we have made. Of note, we have rolled out a sample submission form for the new 'Screening Access' proposals and have edited our policy for shipping grids back to users. We have also provided more information for screening services offered. The new policies will be enforced starting March 1st, 2022.
