PERSCI?? IEEEEeeeeee! Yes, I had one of those. Yes, it sort of worked, maybe it was the crappy floppies I bought, but I did buy them new from various media suppliers, like Inmac. I found it to be relatively flaky, but maybe it was actually a crummy floppy controller that would write stuff anywhere.

I eventually got a 10 MB Memorex winchester drive and SASI controller in about 1977 or so, and that was a godsend! It was absolutely reliable, I never had corrupted files again. (Oh, it was faster, too, of course.) I had this on an S-100 system.
