Well right now it's a little late in the evening for me to look at
these issues in too much detail, but I do not want to add special
stuff to cde/copyright for other licenses relating to added code.

The main benefit to us for MIT is that we do not need to worry about
that crap - you really cannot get much 'free-er' than MIT licensing.

So - my view: If it's going to be added to CDE, it *must* be under MIT
terms only.
