of names for your localhost (127.0.0.1) in /etc/hosts, everything starts

Definitely make sure rpcbind is running, ttsession exists, etc.
But, as of current master (8c1ad2d), you should not have to add your
hostname to /etc/hosts anymore. If you find that you do, I'd love to
hear about it...
