the templates are really hard to install. it's not worth it to the user to visit 60 pages and download zip files one at a time.
even a self-extracting ZIP or zip or 7-zip file would be wonderful if it contained all the templates. I have one that also includes the OpenClipart, but since I don't understand the inner workings of OOo, I am not sure if I did it right. I know different zips are to be extracted into different directories, which complicates installation. Making it available as one big zip file along with some installation instructions would be very nice. I can work with that. The web site's instructions for installation weren't always very clear. [and now I can't even find the templates, docs, and OpenClipart pages on the web site anymore - come on, make it easy on us!] --- Website Managers <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Jim Michaels wrote: > > I would like to bundle the extras with the main > > distributable, but I don't know how or where unzip > the > > zip files, and my guess is they go to different > > places. > > has someone already done the work & packaged it up > as > > an installer? and if so, where do I get it? > > > > I am requesting to become a community distributor. > > Jim Michaels ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) > > The extras do not have to be put into the installer. > Just make an > index.html page that can be launched when browsing > the CD.
