Solaris ships with Star Office 7 and some moderately useful stuff. Environments are limited to CDE and the Java Desktop System (which is nothing more than Gnome running under Java. Gnome is bad enough, JDS is even worse). Considering that OO.o 2.3.1 is (IMO) better than SO 7, I'm inclined to continue including it. OTOH, most Solaris users would probably be quite OK with downloading the relevant set of packages... > > Most Linux Distributions include OpenOffice.org on their install discs, > so really, our largest market is the Win/Mac communities. That suggests another alternative... Separate ISOs for each platform, and include the contents of the Extras CD on each (assuming they'll fit). Yet another alternative is a Win-Lin disk plus Extras, Mac plus Extras (although they'll need to be repackaged as a .dmg image for Mac), and Solaris plus Extras (although the Extras may not fit on the Solaris disk - I'll check later today) > > Andrew Greig > Melbourne, Australia > > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Alex Fisher Co-Lead, CD-ROM Project OpenOffice.org Marketing Community Contact Australia/New Zealand http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/
