Hi Alex and list,

Here is what I do, I download the OOo.exe file for Windows, the tar file
for Linux and the PowerPC and Intel Mac versions. I have kept the extras
(dictionaries theaurii, docs etc) the same for several releases now.
Maybe we could cut back on the clipart by 100Mb or so. Maybe we could
use a link to the dictionaries site and the clients could do that bit
themselves. One could easily download a Dictionary on dial-up. Maybe
each locale could install the Dictionaries that pertained to their local
market, and if a request came in for one outside that set, then it could
be emailed as an attachment.

I am not that keen on downloading the huge isos of several CDs or a DVD
for that matter. Perhaps we could pull down the installers once and
then re-use them for each release. For those on the list who do not
know how to build an iso, perhaps we could produce a HOWTO to assist
them. But rather than wait for Alex to build the isos, we could do that
for ourselves, and be kinder to our bandwidth into the bargain.

Cheers
