Jason,
Thanks for the feedback and to know that others have also had problems. This
helps me understand the lack of response is probably not a rejection, just
inaction or maybe my e-mail in out there floating around in cyberspace.
As suggested, I have sent a letter to [email protected] and hope I
will hear back soon.
We are helping senior citizens collect, write, and publish their family
history using OpenOffice.org which is a superior method and thankfully an
alternative to other costly word processing systems that many can not afford
in these difficult economic times.
I'm also preparing some feedback and recommendations to help make it easier
to use OpenOffice.org to create these kinds of individual and family
biographies.
Thanks again,
Marlo Schuldt

This is pretty common. I never did get a response back either although I
sent numerous requests, mine being a couple of years ago. I have heard
similar stories from other community distributors.

Alex,
I realize this is not the place to request permission to use logos,
graphics
or link to the download site.
I apologize for sending this request here.
I've sent several requests and never get a response back to the
recommended
e-mail addresses. Recently I sent an e-mail to
<[email protected]> and requested permission to use the
graphics as you suggested to Moe. Still no response back.
I'm hoping someone can help me resolve / get an answer / permission.
Thanks for your help,
Marlo Schuldt

Hi Moe (you don't have a bar in Springfield, do you? :-D )
In answer to your question, that is fine. The only other thing you might
need
to do is if you want to use our logo and graphics, then you'll have to
write
to <[email protected]> and request permission to use them.
logos and graphics are available for download at

Hello,
I have been trying to get a hold of someone about distributing CD roms
of
Open office in a package I am going to be sending out to my customers.
I
just found the http://distribution.openoffice.org website and found the
images you can download and burn. I know this may sound like a stupid
question but I don't want to break any rules. Here it goes. Can I
download the iso file burn it to cd's and distribute them inside my
package.
I would really appreciate a response to this question.
Thank you for your time,
Moe Joe
