It says that you are free to give away copies, that has always been true. If you want to distribute on a larger scale OO.o would like to know, also to use the OO.o logos and artwork you do need permission.

it states without qualifying, that anybody can distribute OpenOffice.org.

have things changed?  it was my previous understanding that in order to
distribute openoffice.org you had to be a community distributor and get
permission.

while I think wanton distribution would be nice, I wonder what you as the owner
of this list think of this statement.
