Hello!

I'm using an ATAPI re-writer, 2x speed (single for rewrite) Traxdata
CDRW2260.

Recently I copied a CD by using first dd to get the image from another
ATAP cd-rom (TEAC) and then cdrecord to burn this image. The writing went
fine, no errors reported.

However, after I have compared the files on the new CDR to those in the
image (mounted via loopback), I discovered some files are not exactly the
same (in text files, some characters are just wrong). This errors are not
very frequent, but I suppose they could represent a big problem when
occuring on binary files.

What could be the cause of that? Dirty lens or something similary trivial?
Or maybe a firmware bug (just btw., writing audio in 2x speed always
results in random clicks in the recording; while 1x speed seems to be
fine) even?

Thanks, D.
