Cdrecord-ProDVD is the one of the very first programs that support DVD-R.
It has been available since Febuary 1998. At this time there was from my best
knowledge only a Pioneer program that was able to write data CD-R's in NT and
a Mac program to create Video DVD's.

The reason why only a few people know about it is that Pioneer did not really
start selling the drives to the right people.

It supports all SCSI DVD-R's as there are only 2 :-)

NO! There is one program that comes with differing compleness in source.

I own the complete source and publish the free part under GPL. The DVD-R
part is closed source which _is_ possible for me as I am the Author of the
"work" in terms of European Copyright. ... Well even this is funny as it seems
that the english language does not have a correct word for what we
call "Urheber". In Germany it is called "Urheberecht" which is different
from the word "Copyright" and the European Copyright is not derived from the english
idea if copyright but from the continental ideas.

If you like to get cdrecord-ProDVD, send me 100 US $.
