Hi all,
I'm experiencing a problem with my LG 8080 and several CD-Rs.
These media are labeled as 8x, 12x, and 16x.
(For the german users: these are the ones selled at Lidl/Aldi in Berlin.)
Though I was able to write (at least some of) these at 8x speed on a
"SONY CD-RW CRX140S", my "LG CD-RW CED-8080B", which is capable to write CD-Rs
at a speed of 8x, limits the speed to 4x.
The only CD-R I could write at 8x was the one supplied by LG in the drive's package.
Does anyone know why the LG 8080 drive claims that these media are only 4x,
and the SONY not?
Is this due to the fact that the LG is ATAPI and the SONY genuine SCSI?
Can anybody confirm my LG 8080 observations?
Thank you, best regards
Carsten
