This lists seems to be the only good place to get info on unix scsi cdrw
drives. (If there is a better place can you let me know.)
I'm using linux and I have this noisy Yamaha. It is capable of 40x read.
Does anyone know if it is possible to set the read speed so that it does
not attempt to shake my computer to bits? I would be happy with 20x
given that it is too late for me to return it to the dealer.
If so can you point me to the right config files or tell me the command
line?
I'm also having trouble getting it to read audio cds. It will read data
cds refuses to read audio. Anyone know how to fix this?
