Hi there,

As Patrick said, this lists seems to be a good place to get info on unix
scsi cdrw.
Unfortunately, I have no idea about Patrick's question.
I'm also sunk in a CDR problem for quite a while.

I got a SUN Blade 100 with one internal CD-ROM and w/o any SCSI interface.
So I bought a PCI SCSI interface from SUN and an external PLEXTOR PX-W1210S
CDRW.

I tried both "cdrw" and "cdrecord 1.10" with the new PLEXTOR CDRW. I've
already damaged 5 CDs. It seems I can write something into a CD, but I
can't read them back from any computers(PCs and other Sun boxes).

First I created an ISO9660 image by "mkisofs -R -o my.raw <some data
source>". With fbk, I could check the content in that image. Then I started
to write by typing "cdrecord -v -data dev=0,4,0 -multi my.raw".
The wring process looked fine. I could see the change on my CD. But there
was no way for me to read them back.

Can anybody give any hint please?

Thanks in advance.

Jerry (Wujun) Shao.
