Let me guess that as a courtesy to someone leaving the address was made
into an alias long ago, or if the move was made within a company or
conglomerate it was policy. I still have working addresses from
consulting gigs in 1988! An alias file at rest tends to remain at rest.
And if the alias was made part of an internal mailing list... anyway,
the issue is not how the mail reaches Tim, but why the reply from the
listmaster didn't.
Mailing lists are odd things, if the listmaster interface doesn't work
you can have a really hard time getting off.
This was a technical reply to the original question, and should not be
viewed as related to the political or administrative issues of this
thread!
