If this is a Solaris PC system just use the Pioneer A03 or in a few weeks A04

If this is a Sparc/U10, you could try the same but then you need to verify
that DMA is active and the drive is fast enough. - Don't use unpatched Solaris 8
in this case, there is a severe bug in the ATA DMA driver.


If you need SCSI, buy the ACARD TECH AEC-7720, it is known to work but does not
support disconnect/reconnect, so you need a separate SCSI Businterface for the 
writer.
