Sorry for that. I forgot that cdrecord can handle dev=/dev/hdX already in a40 which is available as ProDVD version for linux. As for the Linux kernel: Does that mean that you will not bother to enhance support for the new interface provided in 2.5 kernels? I know you don't like the design of it and yes I read the threads on LKML about it. Do you know anything new from Jens Axboe?
