Looks serious. > I am sending this message, first to make sure that wodim developers are aware wodim support list is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Although [email protected] is a general list about CD/DVD burning it is possible that no team members of the cdrkit project (wodim et.al.) are watching here. So in general: > Mar 27 10:38:23 localhost kernel: hdc: irq timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy } I understand hdc is your burner (and not a hard disk going mad when your burner is working). Hard to say what is going on there. You should try some older and newer kernels in order to find out wether it is really an issue with a particular kernel. (It is not normal with Linux to have such effects. So it should not hit more than one or two revision.) In your situation i would get some zero-install Linux like rescue system RIP (currently kernel 2.6.20.6) http://www.tux.org/pub/people/kent-robotti/looplinux/rip and try wether this achieves other results. (One needs some working CD writer or an USB stick for preparing a bootable RIP system. RIP has the advantage to provide quite fresh versions of burn software.) Have a nice day :) Thomas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
