Good point. Some drives announce a closed DVD-R as DVD-ROM. (This is not wrong because a profile means a set of features and not necessarily a particular type of media.) How does the recordable side of the media look like ? Is there a visible difference between a broad inner ring and a not too narrow outer ring ?
