Out of the garage at 6:50am. Headed right up Route 81 north. At 8:19am made

the turn onto Route 12 East at the 1000 Island bridge. Now the St. Lawrence
is

on my left side along with Canada and I'm Down-Bound.This road is also

called the River Road.

Got my first site of Canada at 8:25am, and I'm happy to report, its right

where I left it 2 weeks ago. Its also now 1 mile away.

I see Brockville, Ontario at 8:45am. Maitland, Ontario 8:51am.

I got to the 'Burg at 8:56am.and see Prescott, Ontario at the same time,

still, and I see the Canadian Coast Guard Cutter at the Town dock in
Prescott, 1

mile away.

2 hours 6 minutes is pretty darn good time, but I had no

traffic..........they were all going the other way............

Pulled into Woods flowers and stuff................at 9:00am, its on Route

68 just off of Route 37. They now have coffee along with flowers and outdoor

yard stuff..........Got a tray of flowers and a coffee to go. The lady who

rung me up offered to carry the coffee to the car for me while I carried the

flowers. Great service as I sat in the car and she handed me my

coffee.............

9:17am I arrive at Notre Dame Cemetery in Ogdensburg. After planting the

flowers and visiting graves and drinking my coffee, I vacated this,

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm , this ones different, my family is here..........."Family
Parking

Plot"..............that works..............ok, vacated at 10:00am.

10:01am I arrive at Old Notre Dame Cemetery, opposite side of the road, and

if you didn't know and took your time to look, you'd never see it. Its

basically dense woods. Its abandoned, its really much worse than that, its

disgusting, unsafe and hope its a big embarrassment for Ogdensburg and Notre
Dame

Parish. Shame on who's responsible for this place. Without hard helmet and a

chain saw, I went in. You take your life in your hands in this place, trees
that

are actually down and being held up by other dead trees, ravines, clutter
and

stones, as if Katrina had been there before me.

Heres a sampling of what I found................

Many others that I couldn't get close to and couldn't read and really wanted

to get out of there as soon as I got in as things were so bad........

Now on Route 812 South headed for Heuvelton, N.Y.

Arrived at Hillcrest Cemetery at 10:33am on Rennssalear Ave, a few blocks

off of Route 812.

So others will know, the reason I try to be specific about my routes and

locations, there are many of you who like to follow on maps and computer

programs and a few who visit the same sites as I do.

And heres what I found in this "General Public Pen"

Charless Blood 1841-1890.(< does adding an extra S to the end of Charles, by

chance make it into the female form of the name?)

Billius McFadden died Feb 20, 1873 in his 39th year.

Margaret Rutherford Brown wife of Amasa Pierce Thornton. She had an ever

living faith in Christ, His and her resurrection, she lived her faith, she

Gouverneur,

N.Y., her father was Robert Comb Brown son of Archibald Brown and Margaret

Comb who came from Ancrum, Scotland, her mother was Margaret Rutherford,

daughter of Andrew Dodds and Margaret Rutherford, who came from Rutherford
Farms,

near Edinburgh, Scotland. My wife, no nobler a woman, truer wife, better

companion and Christian, sweeter and purer should ever lived. If I come to

Husband.(<to bad your hubby didn't put some dates with this..............)

The parent kind

The friend sincere

Her spotless soul is with the just.

Orlin J. Dean 1860-1904.

Hmmmmmmm I see a living female across the cemetery, tending to graves. Her

form looks vary familiar. I quietly got within 1 row from this lady working
on

graves, as the closer I got, I knew for sure I knew her. Propped myself up

along a stone and watched. She soon got up to move positions.............."I

didn't think I'd see you in a cemetery, this soon" I shouted. She turned

around

and soon I got a big hug. It was my aunt and the only remaining one I have.

We talked a while and then went different directions as I was going to stop

to see her on the way out anyway. Now, I'll rat on my aunt, don't ever do
what

she's done for years, cleaning grave stones with Clorox and a wire

brush............................she's a Corrice/Carisse.......and I aint
going to

say a word to her about it..........................I know better. :) Well,
it

does keep the grass, weeds and anything else living from around family

stones..................LOL Its kind of like Agent Orange, only the local

variety............................

slobbered on,

here comes his cousin the gold lab who definitely needs medication, these

two are nuts. You could tell they just don't get any attention. Owner comes
out

and apologizes which wasn't needed as I like dogs and then they decided to
go

for a run. The owner yelled to his wife, bring the leases. She came out with

Leaving this "Grave Ghetto" reminds me, to remind you all, that if your in a

community with Amish, that they should have more signs on the road "Slippery

at all Times" Just get into a big pile of that horse poop along the

road.............................

Also beware of Chevrolet Trailblazers................the guy I was behind
