While he makes many valid points, this feels overly simplistic. I'd
love to see more data about relative growth over several decades.
True, California's goverment over the last decade or two has been
entirely dysfunctional, but blaming that on ecology and diversity
seems overly facile. And those traits may yet give us an advantage in
the 21st century.
