Haha. This is a matter of perspective. Faith is a powerful thing. :) I understand the difficulty in this modern world of consciously accepting a truth a priori, but it is something we do subconsciously all the time. If I accept a priori that the text is true and contains no contradictions, I will not stop at little differences between translations. I will go deeper and find out how the text itself really does not contradict itself. Certainly I have preferences for which translations I regard to be clearer or closer to the original meaning.
