I see your points on left and right reversed. The left is brain dead and the right is brain damaged. To me, the left is more reactionary than the right. At least here lately. I cannot identify with the neo-Marxist Democratic Party and the Chicago style of politics in DC. All of that seems tied together with a not-so-nice little bow on top of it. There are some Republicans that I find appealing. There are most (95 %?) Democrats that I find appalling. Texas Democrats could have been going somewhere in 2010. They might have even been able to win back the Texas House. But then we had Texas Democratic Congressmen refusing to have "Townhall" meetings during the August recess, turning down individual and group invitations to 50,000 watt flame thrower AM stations, and generally being unreachable by their constituents. That's supposed to help them with the voters down here?? Oh yeah, that'll work. NOT. In the meantime, there has been a party switcher in the Texas House from east Texas who went from D to R. The Democrats in Texas may avoid a massacre, but the national party is not helping. Not. One. Bit. And Chet Edwards of Waco (D and alleged Blue Dog), might find that his opponent will refer to him as one of "Pelosi's puppies." That will not go over in Waco or Bryan-College Station. Howard Dean, capitalism is not the enemy and socialism is no solution. Sean Hannity, repeating conservative mantras will not move us forward either. Wealth creation moderated by sound ethics and governmental policies is the way forward.
