JC Called meet to order 1)3 on 3 Tournament Members touched base on the issues that have npt yet been addressed regarding the tournament. the final list of sponsors was endorsed which is : Zain (Cash -K100,000,200 Golf Shirts, publicity) BMG Catering (Catering at the event, dinner tickets for a winnign team at Cresta Crossroad Hotel). Members will be meeting Zain on Tuesday for the Official handover of Zain sponsorship. Members also strategised on the remianing tasks that have to be done before the tournament i.e Second court construction, stationery, medals, Zain branding of the court. Each player on the day will get a free Zain Golf Shirt 3 on 3 Tournament prizes: Members agreed the follwoing prizes for the tournament Winners. Men (Senior) Winners -Cash - 5,000 Gold Medals Complimentary Dinner for 4 at Crossroads Men (Junior) Cash -3,000 4 Basketballs 4 CEZOBAL disco entry Tickets Gold Medals Veterans 2 Crates of beer/soft drink Gold Medals LAdies 4 Basketballs Gold Medals The meeting agreed to pay Refs K2,000.00 for the day, each court to have 2 permanent refs The meeting agreed to search for Volunteers to help out on the tournament day 2)All Stars It was agreed that the proposed names for selection be endorsed for the games, training to start on Monday 27 at ABC Taonga Nundwe has pledged to suport the teams with some cash towards the fuel cost and refreshments for the team Barlet Mafuleka pledged some cash towards the trip but is yet to verify the amount JAcob Chikoya offered his 32 seater coaster for the team to use to BT CEZOBAL will search for team uniforms 3)B LEague Tournament The meeting agreed to go ahead with a B-League tournament - "CEZOBAL Shield" to be played by all B Legue teams and College teams. The games to start on 7 Nov and 8 Nov at NRC College. 4)Blazers The meeting agreed to take disciplinary action against the team following their recent walk out of a CEZOBAL fixture 5)Ban of Ex CEZOBAL executive Members BASMAL had effected a ban of ex CEZOBAL executive members that had pave way for an investigation into the alleged league mis management. All concerned members were asked to give their side of the story and a report of their line of responsibility. Following the recent developments and tabling of the report that was suplied by some of the members, CEZOBAL executive decided to lift the ban on Mr Russel Makonyola with immediate effect. 6)Finance and Gender representation in CEZOBAL The committee has acknoledged a gap in its setup in terms of female represenation and financial expertise. The executive decided to invite a financial expert female person who is passionate about basketball to join the executive. A few names were proposed and the executive settled on Ms Linley Givah as a prospect to join the executive. The commitee will officialy extend its invitation to Ms Givah. 7)Executive Members absent from meetings The meeting noted with sadness that 2 CEZOBAL executive members have been absent from executives without giving excuses. The meeting decided to remind the members that attendance of executive meetings was vital and that their inputs into the executive deliberations cannot be underestimated and as such they have to seriously think about their attendance performance in the executive.
