Hey guys...

i tried not to coment on the Blazers issue, but i have been struck
by Horace's comment.
hether the punishment is too harsh or not i will not dwell on that.
But i think what we should be looking at is what we want to achieve
at the end of the day....and how we want to get to it.

There are two things that i would like to agree with Horace on:
1) does the punishment help in strengthening the league. we can quite
safely say, with all due respect to other teams, that Trojans, Mimbulu and
Blazers are the three strongest teams in the league. The success of this league
then solely relies in the comnpetition existing between these teams, and of
course thecempetition that the rest of the teams will pose on these three. Other
teams are motivated by the mere thought of having a chance to beat these
three teams, and taking out one team significantly reduces the competitiveness
of the league and hence its strength.

The punishment CAN also result in actual killing or significantly weakening one
of the
strongest teams in the league, thus further shooting ourselves on our own feet.
If we feel that Blazers were wrong...you know the extent of the crime, then i
would
suggest a punishment that would in no way defeat our very cause for the
ernoumous
effort we have put in to get where we are, and at the same time a punishment
that will
motivate the team to do better behavioural wise. For instance ommission from
other
upcoming tournaments, ommission from participating in the all-stars as you have
put it,
these are events that players/teams look forward to and missing out on that is
painful.
Am sure there are other ways of achieving discipline than weakening the league
all together
or weakening a team.

One of the very reasons why the game slid to as low as it was is the lack of
competition
that ended in very predictable and boring games. I have a feeling the
punishment might just
take us five steps backward to that very state.

2) Heavy punishment financially which would act as a source of revenue for
CEZOBAL. I totally
agree with that though i would say this should accompany some other punishment
that the
team/player should feel, such as missing out on basketball events.
Hope that at the end of it all we will still achieve that which we all intend
to.

All is well that ends well.....if its not well, then its not the end.355Cel:

Bwana King,
It was hard to come up with definate prizes for the winners.. as for the
beer/soft prize, we thought the vets would have fun wining that, take note its
not beer per se, either Beer crates or Fanta crates.

The golf shirts, everyone will get one as long as they have registered in the
tournament..

most important is to come and have fun paying ball!

chilling with them drinks - sodas or not? the younger and active, yes, they
need those cash/material incentives...not you and me!
