Well, it's as slow Sunday, so here goes. Hope it's not too brutal. :-)

The header graphics on top strike me as too large and just take up a lot of
screen space without contributing much. The same could be said about the
blue borders around the page content. A little too large and clunky.

The home page is way too long. Why not display just headlines plus either
excerpts or summaries on the front page and then display each news item on
it's own page. If you're selling banner advertising, this is also much more
desirable. You'll have far more page/banner views. See www.news.com or
www.anandtech.com for good examples.

I'd avoid the use of italics for all but very short pieces of text, such as
copyrights or form field labeling. They can be really difficult to read.

The fonts used are inconsistent across the different content areas.

The 'About Us' page uses a much larger font. Also, while most pages
dynamically scale width-wise (very nice), the 'About Us' page does not. The
center column seems to be fixed in width.

The layout of your interview is very confusing. I think the use of bold
(for the interviewer's questions) and non-bold for answers would be
sufficient and much easier to read.

I'd try to fit the layout of your articles into the same framework of your
other pages. Once again, this will have the advantage of giving you more
banner impressions, as well as giving the entire site a more consistent
feel.

The Forums also don't fit very well into the feel of the rest of the site.
Carry over some common graphics over into the header. If your site becomes
popular, the forums will very likely become the most trafficked area in
terms of page views. Putting banners in the forums is a judgment call. It
could be financially lucrative but may alienate some people. It's probably
best to do it now rather than later.

Jim
