When Your Kids Turn On To Games,
They Could Turn On To A Career In High Tech!

I remember doing that to a game back in 8086 days. Can't for the life of me
remember it, but it was ascii based and you had to fight creatures to make
it down the levels until you ended up at yendor. Figured out how to use
Norton's Hex Editor to lower the fight points on some of the ogres so that I
could get past them.

Made for some great bragging in those days.

"What you made it to level 10? How?? I keep getting killed on level 8."
        "Shrug. Guess I am good <evil grin>"

I started liking computers back in the early 80's. Finished a CS class in
high school (I think I was the only girl) Went on to college, but quickly
dropped out. We had to take symbolic logic <YECH> still don't understand
it, though I can still do it. Never helped. Then I remember one class
where the prof spent his entire lectures talking about obsolete IBM
computers only to quiz us on Assembly language (which wasn't even covered in
the book!) Couldn't hack it.

Kept plugging away though, Started with Clipper and dbms, kept working at
it and here I am!
