Programmed the hell out of that little Apple II+ ;-) Even had one of those
modems where you put the receiver on the modem...

Dont get me started on degrees though. I could write 20 pages of rant...
Let me just say, I dropped out of 9th grade while trying to pass for the
second time. The way subjects were taught was totally worthless to me. I
grew up in the heyday(sp?) of the bbs, and got to personally know many of
the local computer geeks in Raleigh, NC that were my same age. Just about
every one of them is in the tech industry somewhere. The funny thing? Only 1
or 2 out of ~15 guys graduated high school. Among this group are a handful
of Cisco guys, 2 or 3 programmers, a project manager...one guy even was
recently head of a Motorola R&D division for awhile.

CS degrees only have worth to HR people imo, and my rant about HR is even
longer ;-)
