I really like Windows2k. It's great. But I'm going to go _postal_ if MS
doesn't change something in either XP or whatever comes next.
I'm a pretty fast typist. So, whenever I'm typing and another program takes
focus, I end up losing a few characters since the other program took
control.
For example, my internet access has been a bit flaky this morning. I was
happily typing away in an email when my VPN monitor 'took over' my system to
let me know that the connection was dropped.
Big freaking deal. WHY (and forgive the caps, but I feel like screaming) in
the heck is the dropping of a net connection _so_ important that the
operating system takes away control from the program I'm using to pop up an
alert box.
As far as I'm concerning there is one, and only one message the operation
system should bug me about, and that's when the battery is low (of course,
only if I'm using a laptop).
