She can't help you. Who do you think I was dragging behind the curtain? My
other wife? (Colorado conference reference)
As for what happened last conference, there was actually 2 things. One was
definitely a mistake on my part (though blown out of proportion) while the
other is a mystery.
The mistake was me saying during one of my lectures on intelligent agents
that:
"Flash 5 is buggy. A good example of an FTP agent would be a scheduled event
that goes to the Macromedia FTP patch directory and looks for the patch. If
it's there, do something like download it or send an email alert."
Seems someone was upset that I said this. Or course at the time this was a
common sentiment but some other example should have been made.
The other thing was that I was in a lecture run by someone I knew and I know
I made a comment on using CFERROR and advanced error handling. Now this is
where the mystery comes in. It seems someone at the lecture thought I was
butting in a number of times and acting in an unprofessional manner.
Witnesses who I have talked to refute this. Problem is, I don't know what
exactly was said or who said it.
Of course others made comments on their conference feedback about me. One
person said I used foul language (yes, the technical term for an infinite
loop is screwed) and someone else thought I told them to write comments in
Hebrew (long story but untrue).
I'll be talking with people in MM about all of it real soon. Of course after
this post they may be coming after me. :)
The problem is their perception of me which may be partially poisoned by at
least one person I know and dislike (and yes, she started it).
Just on that matter, you'll notice that there is nothing negative about
Allaire or MM in any of the above. The issue is of events, perceptions of
them and truth.
