I liked The Lan Times Guide to SQL. It does not delve very deep into every
statement, but it is very readable, and didn't get me lost in the details.
SQL itself is not a very complex language though. It's the overall database
structure concepts that are tough to get your head around at first and this
book does not address that other than showing how to use alter table
statements... You also might want to check out the reader reviews on Amazon
too, which is how I came to choose this one.
