Ray,
elegant response... and I agree in part.
sales tax hardly however balances the amount I pay in opposite to
federal withholdings... and of course there is a tangible benefit to
sales tax (ie: you get control of how the money is spent and a product
or service)...
of course if people in our fair country were less consumer oriented and
bought more staple food, less eating out... more at home childcare and
less daycare... and generally more more cognizant of the interaction
their consumerism has with society, the environment, etc. (SUV lovers)
their tax liability would be lessened..
As for corporate welfare, someone said it correctly... companies spend
more money avoiding federal taxes than they pay.
ANd there exists this other class... the people requiring a maximum
income. the folks along with the equity based wage slaves seem to
always structure things to eliminate their liability.. if we taxed on
the consumption side the tax would be there... of course people would
spend less at the register becuase they would be directly aware of the
large the implication... now the way it is people get dinked here and
there and they are relegated to saying it is ok...
and less spending would be bad for big business and the power brokers..
it is all about structuring...
although socialist concepts seem ideal, people should produce more...
families should pay more (they use more) and generally people should be
more kind and reestablishment community... Not these overpriced suburbs
where they hire 10k police and put padding on everything related to
kids...
give people their rights back and the right to use the rights... I
don't think I would have a problem with Tim McVeigh or Ted Bundy living
next door if everyone had their rights... I am sure my 9mm pistol in
some whackos head would cease the problems, save the taxpayer and offer
a more instant remedy.. of course my firearm should be registered if
concealable... missiles, machine guns, etc. shouldn't... (rant)..
Does anybody recognize how badly the middle class and the single person
gets screwed for trying and exactly how much they don't use
comparatively??? ANd what about those same sex benefits and the other
forms of church/family based discrimination?
love you guys... just offering some mind expansion... good threads so
far..
