The point is that you vote for governments (and if you don't vote you can't
then complain) they put policies in place that they believe build a better
society, this doesn't include making the most disenfranchised people worse
off, but helping where possible...now how maternity leave can be seen as a
bad thing, I really don't understand, are you really that put out that a
minuscule amount of taxes that you pay are used in this way? I'm much more
offended that my money goes to build nuclear weapons....
