No free cheese isn't ok, and that's why we moved. Rather than sit around
collecting the hand out we relocated to where we could make a life, well may
parents did that is, this was back when I was a kid.

"You say you believe in survival of the fittest,
doesn't that mean you cheated when you got that cheese? Shouldn't the
government let you starve?"

Yeah, they should have, and had I been in that spot, I wouldn't have taken
the cheese. To my parents credit they took very little, we had a garden and
ate lots of Zucchini, I mean lots.. :-((

We all do what we think and feel is right, I'm definitely not trying to
judge any of us. But I also won't stand to be judged.

"I can't say anything here. If you don't value a life more than a share of a
company, then you must not have a very high opnion of your own life."

All life has the same value, and cosmic forces and destiny not withstanding,
life is hardly a precious thing. It comes and goes very quickly. I don't
value my life or anyone else's life over that of a farm animal. Life is life
and it's not that special of a thing. At least a share of stock has a
quantifiable value.

Actually, I _did_ adopt one of Maybeline's kids, and it was the best
decision I've made in my life. Was it purely to 'save' him, no, it was
mainly to start a family. I also give to goodwill. Does it mean I'm a saint?
No. Since when does my desire to help put me on a high horse? I simply
disagreed with Paris and Judith. I didn't say they were going to Hell, or
that I was some great social worker out to help the world. I never said I
did _everything_ I could. Does this mean I can't do anything, John?

Errr... ok, so it's alright to get free cheese, and nothing more? Yea for
the cheese industry. Seriously though. I'm not big fan of handouts either. I
think every single person on welfare should be working - paving roads,
watching other kids, etc. You say you believe in survival of the fittest,
doesn't that mean you cheated when you got that cheese? Shouldn't the
government let you starve?

I can't say anything here. If you don't value a life more than a share of a
company, then you must not have a very high opnion of your own life.
