They killed netscape by including a browser,  now they're going to kill
client side java by EXcluding a VM?!?

How can you explain that to the anti-trust!!  :^)

Having said that, it's already practiced by Opera, whereby they don't ship a
VM, but you can optionally download Opera with it, or use an existing JRE on
your machine.

One option would be to state up front that your site uses Java and include a
link to the latest JRE?  A bit cumbersome, and may turn some people off, but
it's an option!
