Its worth it for me. I make about $150/quarter on Amazon referrals alone.
I have a small private community with about 70 active members. Its a
community for moms of babies and toddlers, so not only do they buy books,
but tons of toys and music. Its my hobby site, so it more than covers the
hosting costs.
It took literally MINUTES to set it up, and they have great reporting tools
to check your progress, etc.

Subject: Amazon Associates Program worth it?
: I see lots of people using Amazon Associates Program links to technical
: books on their websites and email. I just wanted to get a feel for
whether
: people thought it was worthwhile to do? If anyone's willing to say how
much
: money on average do you get? Anyone making a mint from it or is it just
: pocket change?
