I've heard about the low frequency weapons. (I recall seeing a photo of one,
with a horn about 50 feet long and a bell about 12 feet in diameter).  They
say at low enough frequencies, it basically jellies your internal organs.
Trouble with such a weapon is that low frequency sound waves are essentially
non-directional.  Meaning, of course, that both weapon operator and target
receive the same fate.
