Yes, actually I *do* consider McCain to be a conservative. He's the same
type of conservative that I am, which is to say that he isn't a lap-dog for
the GOP and their ridiculous schemes and platforms. He actually chooses
his path based on what he believes is right, something that is woefully
missing from most of our poll-taking, fence-sitting, ruffle-no-feathers
representatives in Washington. He has managed to avoid this GOP-led death
march to the extreme right that will probably result in eight more years of
liberal, Democratic Presidents when GW goes up for re-election in 2004.

That's why I supported McCain in the primaries and actually went as far as
to donate to his campaign - the first time I have ever done so for any
campaign at any level. I'll do it again unless he gets caught in flagrante
with two llamas and a cantaloupe.

Remember, in a republic, your representatives in government are not
supposed to *always* cast their vote with the majority opinion of their
constituents. They are supposed to balance it against their own
conscience, the greater good, and their mores. Democracy is a group of
seven men voting to rape three women and calling it legal because they had
a super-majority.

Conservatives don't call tax cuts spending! Returning revenue to it's
source is not spending. Calling tax cuts spending is another example of how
the media manipulates topics to their liberal agenda. Let me guess. You
think McCain is a conservative......
