Another good book I read years ago was William F. Buckley's, "Up From
Liberalism." It didn't convince me to become a conservative, but it did
give me a greater respect for Conservatism. Republicans in Congress
might do well to go back to the books and try to understand what
Conservatism actually is. But they are likely to continue falling in
behind the cheerleader tactics of Trent Lott. That's perfectly fine with
me.
