Well now you've done it!  Now I have to go buy a set of armor and matching
ale mug.  I already have the beard.  I guess I also have to learn to wield
a battle axe, though that could be useful in those development status
meetings...

Neal Stephenson in his book The Cryptonomicon discussed an interesting
concept concerning our industry, I'll have to check it in more detail when
I
get home from work. Regardless, in one passage Stephenson equated coders
with Tolkien's Dwarves, designer/graphic artists with Elves, and marketing
types with Man. Considering some of the marketing types and designers I've
met, it fits fairly well.
