When you think of the Budget, for the Year 2001 congress planned to use
1,710 Billion Dollars. I Don't see why they just don't sped the nine
billion dollars.
That is one half of one percent of the budget for the year. I am sure they
can get rid of $9 billion in useless spending and not have to dip into
Social Security.
Yes Al Gore did predict that if this tax cut went through it would cause a
greater deficit. However he said it would keep growing. The CBO expects the
surplus to grow by about $150 Billion next year. That should make up for
the $9 Billion that they use this year. They expect the surplus by the
year 2011 to be over 5 Trillion dollars. Yes I said 5 Trillion.
In the Budget they have about $630 Billion marked as non-mandatory
spending. So why spend it? If it is not mandatory and we think we are going
to have to dip into the reserve. Then lets not spend it.
