Whilst I am a dog-lover and horse-lover at heart, I am really an animal
lover, so I love everything....and you must have had some bad cats.
My beau is allergic to dogs (and horses) so we have two cats. One for me and
one for him, and they are extremely loyal.
His cat follows him, pouts when he's gone, goes to him for rubs, sleeps on
his side of the bed while completely ignoring me.
Mine on the other hand, follows me around, sleeps on my side of the bed,
comes to me when I'm sitting on the couch for rubs, no matter where she is
and what she's doing, she'll jump up to see what I'm doing if I am moving
around the house.
And both are extremely well behaved. They don't jump where they aren't
supposed to, they stay off my desk, they go in the litter box, they don't
eat the plants. Probably totally weird behavior for cats according to your
theory, but then again, look who they are living with! Me!
Congrats on the new kitty Adam! Many happy years of purring!
